The Abu Dhabi Department of Energy has launched the second phase of an information campaign to promote the safe and responsible use of liquefied natural gas in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, coinciding with the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan. The campaign aims to raise awareness of the importance of adhering to established standards and regulations to ensure the safety of life and property under the slogan "Your Safety - Our Priority".
The Director of the Regulatory Affairs Sector of the Department of Energy, Dr. Saif Saeed Al-Kubaisi, emphasized that the government is committed to strengthening a sustainable and effective energy sector and is constantly working to provide a safe and healthy environment for all residents of the emirate.
"We are confident that the safety of the community is a key priority in all areas of work with liquefied natural gas, and through this campaign, we aim to guarantee compliance by all entities and citizens with safety procedures, as well as the adoption of necessary standards and requirements, which requires continuous cooperation with all interested parties to prevent potential incidents and risks," noted Dr. Al-Kubaisi.
The Director of the Regulatory Affairs Sector of the Department of Energy, Engineer Ahmed Al-Shibani, pointed out that "the campaign on the safe use of gas systems is an important step in strengthening safety practices in the community, especially with the increased use of gas during the holy month of Ramadan, and we are paying great attention to conducting informational activities and comprehensive training programs for all target groups".
The campaign includes the dissemination of a variety of publications through different informational channels and a call to local residents of Abu Dhabi to adopt safe practices in using gas at work and home to ensure their own safety and the safety of their families.
